WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO BE HYPNOTIZED?
Hypnosis is extremely relaxing.  Studies have shown that 45 minutes in hypnosis is equal to more than 8 hours of restful slumber.   Everyone experiences hypnosis differently.  Some may feel light as if they are floating, while others feel a heavy comfortable sinking feeling.  Most people are aware of what is being said by the hypnotherapist during the majority of the session.  Because of this awareness, some think they haven't been hypnotized.

CAN I BE HYPNOTIZED?
Yes, anyone can be hypnotized. In fact, we go in and out of hypnosis several times a day.  Probably the most common example of this is Highway Hypnosis.  Have you ever driven to work or home and not remember anything about the trip once you arrive?  Some individuals are more susceptible to hypnosis than others, however, a trained Hypnotherapist can easily guide even the most reluctant clients into a peaceful and relaxing trance.

WILL I REVEAL MY SECRETS TO THE HYPNOTHERAPIST?
You are in complete control during your session.  If you wish to reveal something to the hypnotherapist, it is your choice.  Nothing will be forced from you against your will. The hypnotherapists at Infinite You practice a number of different Hypnotic modalities – many of which do not require you to talk at all.  The work you do during hypnosis is your personal journey.  The hypnotherapist is simply the guide.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A HYPNOSIS SESSION?
You will be asked to complete an intake form when you arrive at the office. The hypnotherapist will review it with you and ask additional questions. He or she will then explain to you what you should expect and what type of modalities will be used during your session.  You will then be guided into a relaxed state. You will be able to hear the therapist talking to you and you may be aware of other sounds in the office and outside the building, however you will be deeply relaxed.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL BE REQUIRED AND HOW LONG CAN I EXPECT THE SUGGESTIONS TO REMAIN EFFECTIVE?

There is no set number of sessions.  The ultimate goal at Infinite You Hypnotherapy is to help guide and educate clients to obtain the results they desire.  Some may need only one session while others will need three or four. Some issues may have more layers than others.  The initial intake form and interview is very useful to both the client and the Hypnotherapist in deciding the best course of action to take.  Since all hypnosis is self-hypnosis, the hypnotherapist will provide the client with techniques that will enable the client to help themselves in all situations in their life long after the session ends.

I BELIEVE MY SPOUSE COULD REALLY BENEFIT FROM SOMETHING LIKE THIS. CAN I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR HIM/HER?
No.  As mentioned before, hypnosis isn’t a magic cure.  A client must have a deep desire to make a change in order to accept suggestions.  Suggestions given under hypnosis that a client is not in agreement with will be dismissed and ignored.  The initial intake is crucial to insure a successful session during which the hypnotherapist will talk with the client prior to the first appointment to establish the client’s expectations.   In other words, your spouse would need to make that decision (and appointment) on his/her own.

WILL I BE ABLE TO DRIVE HOME AFTER THE SESSION?
Yes. Though you will be in a deeply relaxed state during hypnosis, you will return to full awakened consciousness at the end of the session. There will be a short discussion afterwards to discuss what you experienced, allowing you to fully regain your senses. You will be more than capable to drive yourself home once the session is complete.
